Spatial Intelligence

The active use of structured building data by AI models.

Spatial intelligence describes the active use of structured building data by AI models. It is the stage that follows a consistently built digital twin.

The prerequisite is an AI-ready data basis: georeferenced, classified, interoperable. A raw point cloud meets none of those three conditions and therefore carries no AI function.

Six functions run at qapture in pilot projects. Object detection identifies fire extinguishers and escape route signs automatically. AI OCR reads asset tags across the site. An AI agent answers questions about the building in natural language. Automated scan-to-BIM generates models from the point cloud. A facility manager dashboard consolidates metrics. Smart re-scan triggers flag changed zones.

At Germany’s largest aviation company these functions build on 350,000 m² of already captured area, with no new capture.
