BIM Field Control

The ongoing comparison between model and construction state during the build phase.

BIM field control is the ongoing comparison between model and site. The construction state is captured at intervals, overlaid on the designed model and evaluated.

Every deviation is recorded with location, dimension and ownership, and reported via BCF into the respective consultant’s tool. The report lands where the work happens, not in a separate list.

The economic lever lies in timing. A deviation noticed during the shell phase costs a fraction of the same deviation at handover. On the FRA1 Mainz data centre project the method ran across the entire construction phase.

At the end there is an as-built model that carries the built condition and can be adopted by operations.
