IKEA
qentin at work at IKEA sites: questions in the chat, answers in the 3D viewer.
Read the success storyqentin is the AI agent for your building data. It answers questions about your site in seconds, from the scan and the digital twin, not from the memory of individual staff. With position and route.
Each of these questions still means drawings, walk-throughs or phone calls today. With qentin, one question in the chat is enough.
Where is the nearest fire extinguisher, which plant sits in hall 3? Simple questions still mean walk-throughs, drawings and phone calls.
The person who knows the site is not always there. New staff and external contractors start from zero every time.
The folder does not know last year’s refit. Planning on it means planning on assumptions.
01
Your site is scanned with georeferencing, as a point cloud and 360° imagery. If a qapture scan already exists, this step is done.
02
Objects are detected, named and located automatically: fire extinguishers, escape route signs, gates, plant. The scan becomes a digital twin you can query.
03
You ask a question in the chat, in English or German. qentin answers from your building data and shows the result in the 3D viewer, with the route if you want it.
A facility manager asks, qentin answers with location, figure and route. The film shows qentin at work in a store.

Our clients’ data is sensitive. That is why we do not show excerpts from it here. In a demo we are happy to show you everything qentin can do.

Fire extinguishers, escape route signs and sockets are automatically detected in 360° imagery and located in the 3D viewer.
Compliance audits run without manual counting.

Labels, signage and asset tags are read across the entire site.
Every asset ID is searchable, without a walk-through.

A chat assistant answers questions directly. “How many fire extinguishers on level 3?”
Building knowledge is available to operations as self-service.

As-built BIM models are generated automatically from the point cloud, backed by expert QA.
That cuts cost and lead time considerably.

Continuously updated building metrics: areas to DIN 277, asset inventory, compliance status.
No more static deliverable.

Movement data from AGVs or cleaning robots reveals changes and flags zones that need a new scan.
Re-scans run on demand.
06 Spatial intelligence
Your building already knows the answer. You just have to ask.
After capture and structuring, you hold more than a 3D model. You hold an AI-ready data foundation of the entire site.
AI models detect objects on it, read equipment labels, answer questions in natural language and flag changes. Without a new capture. Without manual data preparation.
These functions run on data qapture has already captured, which removes the second survey and the separate data preparation project.
Meet qentinHow many fire extinguishers are in this building?
I found 24 fire extinguishers, all detected automatically.
Stop digging
through building data.
Just
ask it.
qentin works on data foundations that qapture built for companies and that are used in daily operation.
qentin is an AI agent for building data. It answers questions about a site in a chat, based on the scan and the digital twin qapture has built. The answer comes with a position in the 3D viewer and, if you want, the route to it.
An AI agent understands a question in plain language, looks for the answer in the available data on its own and carries out a next step, for example showing a route. In facility management that means knowledge about the building is available without drawings, searching or phone calls.
Questions about everything captured in the scan and the digital twin: How many fire extinguishers are on level 2? Where is the nearest emergency exit? Navigate me to gate 5. What has changed since the last scan?
qentin answers only from your scan and your digital twin, not from general internet knowledge. Every answer is located in the 3D viewer and can be checked there straight away. What is not in the data, qentin does not answer.
Structured data. An AI needs objects that are georeferenced, so they have a position in space, and classified, so it knows what they are. A raw point cloud or a folder of PDF drawings is not enough. qapture builds exactly this structure with every capture.
Not if your site has already been captured by qapture. qentin then works on the existing data. If you bring your own data, we check in advance whether it is suitable.
Your building data sits on the qapture platform, hosted to ISO 27001 in the EU. The language model behind qentin is run by a specialised AI provider. Which data is processed there, we agree with you before the start.
Yes. qentin is labelled as an AI agent, and every answer shows what it refers to in the building. That is in line with the transparency obligations of the EU AI Act for AI systems that interact with people.
English and German.
No. qentin answers questions from the scan and the digital twin, that is about the actual condition of the building. Your CAFM stays the system for work orders, contracts and maintenance planning.
Our clients’ building data is sensitive: floor plans, plant, security areas. That is why we do not show excerpts from it in public. In a demo we are happy to show you everything qentin can do, and on your own data if you like.
The demo is free. Companies that set up qentin on their data during 2026 get a special price. The offer runs until 31 December 2026.
You book a call with Matthias Kowatsch. We clarify which data is available: an existing qapture scan or your own data. On that basis we show you qentin with questions about your own site.
