FRA1 Mainz
BIM field control across the entire construction phase of a data centre.
Read the success storyWe merge the discipline models, verify them against reality and take the comparison to site. Clashes surface in the model, not in a variation order.

01
We define model structure, naming convention and check rules before the first consultant delivers. Without that step we later compare apples with pears.
02
Every delivery runs through the check routine. Geometry against point cloud, attributes against the EIR, trades against each other. The result is a list with names, not with guesses.
03
We capture the construction state at intervals and overlay it on the model. Deviations become visible while they are still cheap to correct.
04
At the end there is an as-built model operations can adopt. Not the design version with change lists attached.
Clash detection with Solibri and Navisworks, issue management via BCF so every report lands in the consultant’s own tool. Field control runs with mobile mapping at short intervals. All check rules are open and auditable.
On the FRA1 Mainz data centre project, BIM field control ran across the entire construction phase. Deviations were captured at intervals before they became variations.
The template you use to define your BIM requirements cleanly, before the first enquiry goes out.
After handover the service life only begins. The twin goes into operation.
Yes. We act as overall BIM coordination on the client side or as discipline coordination for individual trades. In both roles we deliver the check reports, not just the meetings.
The ongoing comparison between model and site. We capture the as-built state at intervals, overlay it on the design and show deviations with location and dimension. It is the cheapest variation prevention available.
Weekly in the intense phase, every two weeks in quieter periods. The cadence is set in the BEP and is not changed by feel.
